Individual Counseling

I will meet with students on a short-term basis, as needed. Our meetings will typically last from 10-20 minutes during the school day, depending on necessity.

If you are interested in having your child have a mental health counselor, we do have an Applewood Counselor her at Durling Middle School. I would be happy to refer your student.

Common topics I talk to students about include but are not limited to: Grief/loss, friendship, bullying ,safety,  behavior, school refusal, feelings, homework, fears/worries, and family change.

Classroom Guidance

Throughout the school year I may visit your child's classroom in order to provide a guidance lesson. Some of the topics I may cover include- conflict management, body safety, feelings, friendship, technology safety, and my favorite KINDNESS!

Consultation

I am here to support parents and teachers as well! If you are having a problem with your child at school or at home, I am happy to help in any way that I can! The best way to reach me is through phone call or email.

There are many reasons a parent or teacher may contact me for help. Some of the reasons are listed below.

Academic concerns, focus/attention, anxiety, bullying, school refusal, divorce, death/loss, social skills, behavior problems, homework, and making friends.
